Birthday Speech

As another year of life unfolds, I am eager and willing to be a better me. Old and past fears are no longer and I venture on older and wiser than yesterday.

Thanks to all those who greeted me Happy Birthday. I had a ball at my small Escobar shindig and my birthday lunch was fantastic.

It truly was a HAPPY Birthday and I know that this year will be different to the last and just as interesting. Ahead of me I face the challenge of launching my first independently created and funded EP, with the kind help and service of my good friend Havo and also the support of my loving friends, family and partner.



The hard copy of the single has almost depleted, hopefully by the end of the weekend it will have. However, it WILL still be available online through iTunes.

That said, I believe a whole lot of Hard Work is in order. Life goes on and I'd like to live mine slowly, one day at a time, that way I don't miss a thing.

CD Single Artwork "Preview"

The artwork for the CD has been completed. I kindly thank Tom Hancocks for his creative vision and skills.

It was difficult deciding what to put on it. I kept thinking to myself, should I use a picture of myself or should I NOT. Finally, the result was not to use a picture. I had my reasons but it is truly part of a plan.

To cut a long story short (and believe me it's long, I am very indecisive and can lean slightly toward being a perfectionist) we both came up with a piece of artwork that is a beautiful representation of me and the music.

1st Single Release of EP (1st of April, 2010)

Well hello all, apologies for the absence. I've been hard at work with my producer Havo writing the EP which, thankfully, is approximately 96% all written. ye yeah!

There's my semi excuse for not blogging BUT! I'm back and determined to stay on it. For those who have been following. Those songs/lyrics that I posted earlier, are finished. Feels good to say that. The next part... RECORDING!

This is the fun part, it's the part where your efforts are put into audio form and you can place em on repeat until you are sick of them. Unfortunately lovely people, there's still a slight wait for the entire thing but the 1st single is coming soooooon.

This Time Last Year (Lyric Update)

The following lyrics are what follows from the lyrics I posted earlier in the blog "New Song Update", The song was called This Time Last Year.

I updated the pre-chorus and chorus and I have also added a 2nd verse which has yet to be recorded because it is fresh out the oven. I just came up with it earlier this evening, more precisely on the way home from the JEMARY wedding rehearsals, in my car.

This calls for celebration as the song is now only missing a bridge, once that's done (let's hope it's sooner rather than later) then it's officially a COMPLETED song. I hope this song makes the cut on my new EP which will be released sometime mid year. Fingers, legs and eyes crossed. I will make sure to post a snippet once it's been recorded and ready.
